Portraiture

The challenge of the portraitist  is to capture the soul and personality of the subject, in order to make the  portrait  alive and vibrant. Don't we say that the eyes are the mirrors of the soul? And it is also in the gaze that emotions can be read. Thus any portrait has a universal character capable of touching us.
